Is UK alittle bit Expansion chamber friendly? About not EU certified exhausts?
UK rules are different when applied to one off, it’s the mass maker that has to get the certification. While there are rules regarding noise (decibels) and emissions, the old RD’s use the “Grandfather” clause that the rules when the bike was made, apply. How can you apply emissions to a 2 stroke!!
Additionally, any vehicle bike/car over 40 years old are classed as classics and do not require yearly ministry testing (MOT). So, the noise etc is not normally picked up. However, the Police could stop you but you would have to really be silly for that to happen.
Thankfully UK is not as strict as EU. Germany seems to be worst, as even if you want a different tyre (tire) you have to get paperwork and verification to allow deviation from standard!
