Morning guys,
Have just finished stripping my RD350 and have found that the slide in the right hand carb is stuck solid. Have tried soaking but still solid ?? and ideas ??
Many thanks

Try putting in plastic bag, then in freezer for couple hours.
Hopefully the slide will shrink more than the carb body.
Do wear gloves or your hands will stick.
Alternately an ultra sonic bath may do the trick.

Are you certain that it is the slide stuck, and not the needle holding it shut? That has happened to me on two rescue bikes.

Usually fuel gum/ oil residue holding the Slide and/or the Needle. Get a plastic container that the carb body just fits into and boil enough water to fill it. Put the carb body in the hot water for a minute and the slide should be free with just a gentle push. If still stuck, try fresh boiling water. They have always come out like that for me.
