Fork Tubes for DT400 1976
« on: December 23, 2020, 05:53:35 PM »
I am after a pair of fork tubes for a 1976 DT400, preferably with no pits or rust.

Can anyone help me?

Do any other tubes from different bikes/models fit the DT400?

Thanks

CMSNL (and therefore probably Partzilla) indicate that most of the 250/360/400 DT & RT fork stanchions between 1971 and 1976 (ie the twin shock bikes) are the same - have a look yourself, just to make sure.

Your best bet in the UK for used is probably D&K/Twowheelspares.
Yam RD200DX (Gr8auntiepat's)
Yam FZX700 Fazer
Yam RD400 bitsa
Yam RD350B rough
Yam RT2 almost finished
Yam DT360A almost finished
Suzi GT550J just started
Suzi 1250 Bandit regular rider
Yam RD125B (probably!) now being reassembled
Yam AS3 in boxes

If you have the original Yam ones, I would say get them re-chromed, most likely work out the cheapest option too.
