Still waiting for the frame to be powder coated, should be back this week, same with the fasteners, they have gone for zinc plating

While I’m waiting for the frame, I thought it was time to change the front 40 year old tyre

Yes, new tires are in order for my '76 RD400c build, too. Looking forward to feeling what they handle like with more modern rubber (since the last I rode an RD was in '79). Have to assemble and hear it run first, though!

I’m doing the dirty bits in the garage, all the clean bits are in the sitting room - warm & dry

hi , , good evening ,noticed you had some parts coated , doing a as1 at the moment and wondered where you had them done , and would you recommend them , many thanks for your assistance only in derby , so near .

I used PMC powder coating in Long Eaton for the frame/ brackets and DDG plating in Nottingham for the bright zinc on the fasteners.

Tank still needs paint, chain guard fitted, it’s not perfect & will be changed if I can find better

Both wheels back on, new handle bars & tank temp fitted (needs painting)
