Roger Dennis is a well known Motorbike seat restorer and has been doing this for over 30 years for the VJMC.
I have recommended him on here to many members in the past.
He done my RD400C seat years ago and the job was perfect.
I called him today to discuss my DT250 seat.
I also mentioned project X and he has shown an interest in refurbing our seat to a custom finish.
I have asked him to come on the forum and have a look.
It would be good to get him on-side to do our seat as so far we only have a cheap pattern cover and no volunteer to fit it.
I know and2bikes is struggling with the base so to get Roger on board would be good.
Roger also covered the seat on the Kawasaki Samurai that won best in show at Stafford this year.
He also trades as rdeny on ebay selling seat covers.
Lets hope Roger has a look at this forum and comes on-board to show off his excellent work.

Sounds like a good bloke to know/have on board.
-
well, i"ve fitted a seat cover ( a good one too ) and to be honest, i made a bit of a pigs ear of it ( my inexperience gave the benefit of the doubt to a knackered foam ). Given a poor seat is highly noticeable if Roger makes a kind offer of doing it for us we should grab it. Actually i might inquire about he sorting mine out during the winter because what i sit on makes my arse go dead.
-
Sounds like a good idea to me
any photos of his work
-
bought a few of his Guiliari covers on ebay, top bloke, always nice quality.......
-
Nice to know Roger is willing to do our seat for us Paul , maybe he could do something a bit special and use it as an advert for his own work . I"d be very interested as I"ve got a seat that needs doing myself
Good work on your part as well Paul finding this guy

is he rdeny on there ?
I had a seat cover from him

Yep
Thats the man.

It would be great to have someone within the club that restored seats. I completely cocked up fitting a cover to my 1st blue 400C some years back - managed to glue it on twisted
It"s not that easy

A professional custom seat would finishe it off. Sounds like a very welcome offer.
He will even get a little advert in the wellard
-
i have also used his covers they are a good fit and look the part too ,
good if we can get him onboard to help with covers and rebuilding seats

Roger has done a few seat recovers for me. Top job every time

Whats up with the seats base?
It was prety rotton.
Andy has been working on it and I think he has repaired it best he can.
Most of the spikes are gone.
The cover is a crap pattern cheap thing.
Foam is OK
Most bolts were snapped off but I think Anday has sorted them now.
-
As long it will take a cover im sure it will be fine. They are a challenge to do, more so if all the sides have gone and you have no reference points left.
-
i got my seat cover from rdny absolutely spot on ,
he obviously knows his stuff
and agreed it is a pain in the a**e job to get right .
me reckons he would get a few more to do
-
i have met this gentleman at the donington show a few years ago and he thanked me for our members recommending his covers , nice chap and also a good man to have onboard with seat restoration skills for all members to benefit from in the future .
he would ,nt give discount at the time when i asked him
, but you never know in the future if we shove a few seats his way .
-
Im sure i have had a seat done by this person. some years back but its still on the bike and an excelent job it is .
-
Roger Dennis (RD Design) has agreed to make a special seat cover for Project X

-
He said he will take full photos from start to finish and he has a trrick up hois sleeve to make it special.
I just told him to whatever he wanted but make it special to the bike.
-
excellent job on the seat
-
I got a call from Gazzatt2 today and he informs me the seat arrived with him today from Roger Dennis.
All I could get out of Gazz was its stunning and very special.
Give us a peep Gazz.
Whats Roger done to it?
In what way is it a special seat??
I had no idea what Roger was doing its all of his own back.
But from what I have seen of his work on my bikes and some specials I have seen at shows im sure it will be stunning.
