A very nice early 250A. We don't see many of the early drum braked models on here

I am usually not the biggest fan of the earlier RD's but that looks really nice and I for one would be proud to have it in my garage

Is the front brake on these early RDs the same TLS drum brake as fitted to the YR5/YDS7?

Current bikes GT750, RD350 & AP50.
Previous bikes YR5 (x2), KH250, GT185, DT250, AP50 & YDS7.

CMSNL parts guide suggest yes, and to some XS models as well.
Yam RD200DX (Gr8auntiepat's)
Yam FZX700 Fazer
Yam RD400C slowly getting back to standard
Yam RD350B rough
Yam RT2 almost finished
Yam DT360A almost finished
Suzi GT550J just started
Suzi 1250 Bandit regular rider
Yam RD125(A?) in the kitchen being reassembled
Yam RD250E just started
Yam DT3 just in

As Great Uncle Alan has suggested, the parts list will confirm whether the brake drum is same, but I would very much assume it is the same

My most very favourite too and still have one in that colour. It takes me back to 28th March 1974 when I got the call to say my 1st "proper" bike was ready for collection, 98mls later I got T boned  :( :( :(
