Hi from Nottinghamshire
« on: August 19, 2021, 04:50:23 PM »
Hi all, I'm a new member so thought I would come say hi.

After many years off a 2 stroke (used to race 125gp when I was younger), I bit the bullet and treated myself to this 1973 RD350. the bike is a Us import but i got a UK spec tank thrown in so the plan is to do a full nut and bolt restoration with the help of my old man (who is a car/motorbike painter which will help save a few quid).

When time allows I can usually be found around Matlock on my Fazer, but hoping next year to be sat up there with my RD!

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew

Welcome to our club, nice bike!!  I have a US import 250  and I kinda like the narrow tank. The help you will get on here will amaze you as it is a fast responding forum and the level of knowledge from members is second to none!!  That doesn't include me though, I just muddle through and ask if I get stuck ha ha

Welcome Andrew.

Manuals are available in the Tech section and the CMSNL website is very useful, particularly for US models.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'm no expert but I am going to give it a go and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. Great, I will go look at the manual now thank you

Great to have you as part of the community Andrew and to see another RD being given the love and attention it deserves but be warned, this habit is addictive and before you know it, you are likely to need a bigger shed/garage!  8)

Thanks guys! Well I am currently building a new patio to put a bigger shed on for my bikes! Think I have already been bitten by the bug! Turns out the bike has a paranha ignition, lc carbs and god know what else done so once Mike has built pipes etc I'm hoping she is running at her best.
