The ypvs arm is slightly longer, but if you're adding mounting points for twin shocks you can choose where they go and what length shocks you then require. Don't forget that the early (A,B) arms are shorter than the later ones.

I aimed to lift the rear 30mm to assist steering and more importantly try and give the bike some ground clearance.  :D
Moving the footrest helped this more than the ride height.though.

I’m a bit late to the party but just wanted to say how much I liked the build.  I really like the idea of a single carb set up.
I’m just starting a project RD 250/350 and it’s a great inspiration…. Nice one.

Its a 2 into 1 manifold with a single PWK 38mm carb. makes setting up much quicker and easier, only 1 carb to adjust and no balancing.  ;)

Hey there

Does someone make the manifold or did you have it made?

I like the look of this set up 👍

On a 2T twin with reeds, if you have one carb, does it need to be bigger than stock or not? If you have two carbs, each one only fuels half the time, the rest of the time its idle.

Actually having a more continuous draw of air through one carb it may actually make the spray patterns coming out the jets better formed.

Lets face it, most old 4 cylinder cars had one carb.

Interesting topic.

Hello again gents, the single carb manifold I used I had made as a one off, however I have since tried it on my YPVS and its the same fitment :D the YPVS  set up is available is available from Norbo so much easier to get.
As for carb size, I opted for a 38mm and I'm getting good results that being said I may experiment with other sizes in the future for comparison.

Cheers, Stuart.
