Welcome Nicad
Very Nice. 8)
Is that the optional power boost extra in the top of the piston  ::) Seen a few of those  :-[
Enjoyed the Sandy beaches  & craft breweries of Toronto.  ;)
Bit cold for bikes this time of year in Ontario .
Just got Goldie out of hibernation and did 14 miles in the sunshine  :P. Very unusual for UK in start of spring.

That hole was for extra breathing and cooling. Worked great till it didn't. Starting to get warm here too. We always take a big step back and freeze in May just to remind us who's Boss.

Yeah, I had one from new back in 82' . It was a great bike, very comfortable, stable on the highway. Big headlight. Always thought about getting another and then one popped up last winter for $1000 in Quebec. It is complete. I should have bought a perfect one though as you see them for about $2000 USD from time to time. The Us only had Silver non YICS versions. Canada mostly had the Red ones with the oil coolers. I will refurb the carbs and hopefully get it up and running soon. The RD is the newest acquisition and one I am most excited about. can't wait to hear that Burble at idle.

Nice bike collection there nicad, I also have a 400F project on the go presently and an XJ650 that is almost back on the road and which I am getting the bodywork set painted in Cardinal Red for (it has silver bodywork on it at the moment).

It seems like XJ's are still a little unappreciated these days, meaning they aren't too expensive to pick up and the fact that mine had a mint original exhaust on it was the clincher. They are lovely for a longer ride but I still always grab one of my RD's for shorter local runs on the twisties.
2 strokes are all I need!
