Massive backlog on their paper transactions, but computer generated stuff very quick.

Couple of months plus is common at the mo.
Presume you have proof of delivery from the registered mail, then First clue something is happening is your cheque will be cashed…
Hopefully not too long then but during covid it was 8 weeks between cheques cashed and my v5 turning up….
Got to do another shortly so let’s see !
Rev 'em till they rattle

From the section title that the post has been made in, we know that it's to do with getting a UK registration for an imported bike - what the Americans call getting a Title.

I got my V5 for my Suzuki T350 today, so I was well-pleased with the turnaround.  I posted it special delivery last month so it would have been at the DVLA for Monday 25th October.  I did include A4 photos of absolutely everything they could possibly need, even the casting at the bottom of the barrel to prove it was 315cc, so the later model.  I even took the headlight off, to get a square-on photo of the VIN plate with no light reflection.  I think the extra effort paid off, or perhaps I just got lucky.

Just six weeks on my Honda Motocompo... I had to wait for a dating certificate first as I am not allowed to do them for my own bikes. I thought 6 weeks from posting was OK.
