Accident or on purpose?? This seriously p****s me off as a bike(cycle) rider myself!  Chris Froome, our Tour De France champ whilst our training alone last week was knocked off on purpose in France by an irate/impatient car driver who followed him onto the pavement and crushed his bike (fortunately he was ok) and then drove off.  There was another incident of the same thing here a week or so ago same thing, where the driver was actually caught on street cctv and given three years for attempted manslaughter.  I ride on the road all the time but actually agree that if you are not confident or are a minor then you should be allowed to cycle (carefully) on the pavement. The roads, cos of the psycho drivers,  are not the safe place to be on two wheels.

Thank you for the update. Keeping everything crossed for him, and thinking of his poor family. I went through something similar with my younger sister many years ago, and it really isn't a nice experience!!
