Tank compatibility
« on: June 11, 2022, 09:47:55 AM »
Hi team

Will a RD200a fit a RD250a frame?

I am in need of a new tank for my 73 rd250 and have spotted a 73 rd 200 tank for sale.

Kind regards Corey

Welcome, and no!

Physically, the RD250 and RD350 tanks for 1973, 1974 and 1975 are the same, although paint schemes are different.

I have a feeling that the earlier DS7 and R5 tanks will also fit, but they have different filler cap arrangements. Please wait for others to confirm this.

As Alan has said above a 200 petrol tank is smaller than the 250 petrol tank, so won't fit.
Good luck with your search
