I think the problem here is DVLA have no record of it and need proof reg belongs to the bike, which I now have from Hampshire records office. Just wondered if a dating certificate is also needed as extra proof. If DVLA say the reg can stay with the bike then it cannot be transfered to another vehicle.

Don't think the dating cert is necessary. Although it will state it is M30 of the right era, but you've already got enough. Only do if they ask  ::)
Also include some photos as proof the bike exists ie, overview of the bike, the chassis number, especially pictures of the number plate (front & rear) on the bike. If there is still a tax disc, copy that as well.
