Isle of Wight run Sunday 5th September 2021
« on: August 01, 2021, 07:12:37 PM »
Thanks to Trudy, Woody and Jason.....

https://www.redfunnel.co.uk/public/bookings/view

Ferry cost this year is £35.20 return.

We will do the Isle of Wight run going from Southampton to East Cowes via Red Funnel ferries

We can catch the 09;00am ferry to get in East Cowes by 10;00 to meet Woody, Trudy and Jason.

The plan to meet at 08;15 at Rownhams services West Bound (East or West bound as we can cross the motorway via the subway) as last year then ride into Southampton centre to catch the ferry.

This is between Junctions 3 and 4 of the M27 you will need to meet Westbound side near the fuel station.

Weather permitting.

Islanders, we are meeting at the crematorium roundabout at 10am, leaving at 10.30.  First stop the Duver St Helens for Coffee.  Let's hope the sun is shining 🤞

I believe that it's the Southampton marathon tomorrow, with road closures. Will this affect our route to the ferry terminal?

We are going in from Rownhams via M271, Millbrook road and West Quay road, these are the main roads in and are not affected by the Southampton marathon but thanks for the warning....

Sorry been busy with family stuff since I got back on Sunday...

Yes it was a excellent day with I think 35 bike in total and no breakdowns, we have been doing this for 11 year and it just gets bigger and better every year. There are many photos and videos on the clubs facebook page but for some reason no one likes posting photos on here nowadays.
