250E Frame Question
« on: July 22, 2021, 09:49:21 PM »
Firstly - NO OFFERS NOT FOR SALE - A potential ponder next year if I dont believe I can achieve my 3 builds progressing with time over effort and availability of some missing spares. i have about 275% spares so far. Please just score in preference as costs/value NOT REQ. i.e. 1A  2C  3B  Thanks all. SJM

RD250E Frame. UK with No V5 from a job lot some years ago.

. My questions are.

a) Is the frame worth strip/prime/paint best value. (ready for assembly)

b) Is the frame worth strip best value. (min outlay but attractive to buyer who can choose prime or powder or 2pack)

c) Is the frame worth aged with rust best value (save me time, effort paint costs)

Good point David  ;)  I have added the detail to the post. I'll check the Frame number later.

SJM, do you mean no V5 but you know the reg and it’s on DVLA (£25 and you have a V5 in your hand), or no V5 not registered even though it might well have been a uk bike?

Regards your questions....
You need visual evidence the frame is solid to release max value ....so to some extent, basic clean , bit of a rub down and a rattle can tidy up is low investment and high return.

Investing proper money doesn’t add value though and quite possibly wastes money as who’s to say what a prospective owner might want to do with it? Paint it red, white , nickel plate.....
