Project x re-jetted after 350 conversion

Hello all, when project X was converted to 350 where the carbs up-jetted? if so does anybody know to what size, also was the snorkel in the air box modified to allow greater flow?
I have just fitted 350 barrels onto my 250F and have jetted to 130 as a starting point - but I would be interested in a comparison from project X

130 jet and snorkel removed and air screw out one and three quarters. It ran like shite with the snorkel in place. It is still slightly rich but that's better then the other way.
The last time it was used we had a problem starting it from cold so the carbs need to be removed over the winter.

Thanks for the quick reply, mine also looks a little rich but I haven't removed the snorkel yet, will pull it out this weekend and see how it effects things.

OK mate thanks, but the bike is wrapped up at the moment ready for my house move.
I will do it ready for next season along with the twin disk conversion if I get my new workshop ready in time.

The larger air pipe from the 400 has now been fitted in-between the 2 halves of the airbox and the rear snorkel refitted. All feels well and seems to be running really well, obviously I'm still running in, so I'll know more when I can rev it a little further. Will keep you all updated.

All run-in now, what a big improvement over the 250 barrels  :) :) :)

Its still slightly rich so I may try dropping one size, maybe time for a trip to the dyno to check the fuelling and to see how much power it now has.

Well the 350 was great fun but I've  now fitted a 400 (the 250/350 engine is under the bench for use some time in the future) .
My initial impression comparing the two is that the 400 has more torque than the 350 but revs slower.
This makes for a lazy less frantic feel to riding, but maybe not the same buzz.

It may be time for some tuning on the 400 motor  :D
