RD 200 LIGHT FRONT FENDER
« on: November 10, 2023, 07:28:42 AM »
Looking for a light weight front fender that will bolt onto a 74 RD 200. In plastic or fiberglass or light alloy. Does anyone know of anything that will fit and bolt on or easily adapt to fit ? Thanks

Possibly a red plastic one from one of the early Yam two stroke twin race bikes e.g. TA, TR, TD or TZ could be adapted. Have a look at Mead Speed's website.

The RD 200 fender mounts about midway on the forks .Most fenders mount on the upper part of the forks ? Not easy to find a fender with mounting location similar to the RD 200 ? If anyone has any other ideas ? It be much appreciated. Thanks

I see your RD200 is older than my 1980 model. I have looked at the mudguard mounts on my Yam LS2 (1973) and they are much further down the lower part of the forks. It should be possible to fabricate a light alloy frame to pick up on your existing fork mounts and the plastic race mudguards.
