r5 oil injection

I have a 1971 Yamaha r5 350. The oil injection pump part number is 360.13101.01.00. I need to replace my oil pump. Can someone tell me what years will fit?

The 350A pump will fit straight on. It will have red paint ID and a 32 tooth gear inside. You will need to swap the 364 pulley for the R1 pulley that's currently on your YR5 pump.

What's the issue with your pump requiring a replacement?

The shaft got scratched where the seal meets.

Can I assume that's its the part of the shaft behind the priming wheel? See photo attached. It's quite common given that the back of the shaft is exposed to the air and rust can creep along.

Also on this generation, the camshaft itself is bored all the way through then sealed with a resin plug. The age of them now, those plugs are starting to fail. Again there are options here too.

Ideally, #Arrow on this side of the pond can get you sorted. However, if you need someone closer to home, then I know of someone on the US based Yamaha Enduros forum who does the same sort of work.
