And sanding all contacts is very underrated. I did all the contact cleaning and boom, I had voltage back to battery eventually. So sanding those constants..unscrewing and screwing back it will probably help get current into system. Coils needs a lot of diagnosis. DM me.if you need the rd instructions from Yamaha

If you have spark(healthy) on right but not on left you can swap wires from coils and see if spark still happens. If no spark then the coil needs to be diagnosed. If you have spark, the it's pointing downstream to left wire, left point and any wiring associated with it. I would not try to start until you have spark on both sides or it's gonna get ugly and not do the engine any good.
If you have spark on both sides sides, then yes, try to see if carbs can deliver fuel to system. You can even cheat and spritz some carb cleaner(very little) in spark hole to add some.cheat vapor there. But ideally if you know it can fire and run(badly OK) then refer to timing of points to clean it up..and of course cleaning carbs

I think somewhere there is a pin post of all the major differences between the RDs c,d,e . I do not recall the front master or rear being much different. I cannot imagine the rebuild parts being changed much

Hi guys, in the process of rebuilding a rd200 1975 us import but can't find this part anywhere. I've tried all the usual suppliers with no luck and is constantly out of stock with cmsl. I don't suppose anyone has one they don't need or know where i can get one from. I've bought 2 or 3 variants in the hope they will work but none of them are right?

A few more photos. Frame and small parts back from powder coating. Stuff off for cerakote should be back soon. Cleaned up the head a bit - next up there is polishing the flats and fins. Cylinders are out for a rebore to 64.5mm. Reed blocks rebuilt with TDR reeds and brake lines redone with Yambits stuff. Tank has been high zinc primed and once I seal the inside will go to paint. I've buffed out the original paint on the other stuff and waxed it. It looks fantastic. Tomorrow if I have time I will start breaking down the bottom end.

Cruzinimage needles are almost certainly 5I4. Really makes no difference if you have 522 or 360 carbs the set up with 5I4 needles is the way I said. That  carb data isn't applicable unless you have 5L3 needles and baffled air filter, it certainly didn't come from any official Yamaha data. Nobody has come up with the air screw setting or needle position for the UK 522 carbs. . AS long as you set it up using your open  filter and 5I4 needle on 2nd slot, 120 main, a 25 pilot and 2.5 slide with air screw at 1-3/4 if it doesn't run very well with that, don't change it there is something else wrong. That set up works very well I can assure you.
Thank you c50 , I have a better understanding  now  and will make adjustments as you stated above, I know the needles are on the third slot and the air screw is one turn at the moment
