2015 Chippy Run.
« on: March 13, 2015, 01:03:28 AM »
I have been lead bike of this run since Snowy got us lost on the first Chippy Run at the Uttoxeter Rally.

It is time to pass over to someone else.

Last years chippy run was superb Simmo, that will take some beating.
I can totally understand why you don't want to do it anymore...

Always the same mate.
I enjoyed the Friday ride but I went on Keith's run on the Saturday. I know its not easy and that's part of the reason I am not doing any runs this year.

It's always the few who spoil things for the many >:( >:(. Some will sitt on the sideline and moan about others but never step up to the mark >:(.Good on you for doing it. Let the moaners do their own run

I enjoyed both runs last year - thank you

I'm sure some people would have liked them to be longer or shorter or X or Y.  You can't please all the people all the time    :'(

Its a bloody shame to lose Simmo as our rally run leader, he has been doing it for year and always given us a varied route that's different every year.
I don't usually do the Saturday run as its got so big now so I go with a smaller group but the Friday chippy run has always been one of the best runs of the weekend for me and something to really look forward to.
Maybe one of the local members could step up, its always the same old people doing all the hard work.

New Chipshop has opened at Ashbourne market place, just around the corner from our usual venue.

Should help shorten the waiting time to be served.

As requested by a small group of members on the Friday of the Rally I ended up leading a group of 10 bikes (Myself, and Rallybaby, on the 200, the Wife on 400 and 8 others) on a repeat of the 2014 Chippy Run.  Saturday Rideout We followed Robin to Matlock Bath approx. 10 bikes!.

If someone else wants to take over and lead the Rideouts post here please.  :)

Excellent ride it was as well Simmo. I think small groups of 10 work so much better and that way we can fast rides, slow rides, short rides and so on. This one was perfect for me and a good few miles with lovely scenery.
