Robin will be confirming the rally date with the rugby club this week and the 20th rd aircooled rally will be held over the weekend of friday the 11th until sunday the 13th july , we have had to move back 1 week due to the rugby club have gone and booked a wedding on our normal date  :( .

it may clash the festival of 1000 bikes at mallory , although i believe that mallory is no longer under threat of closure after meeting with the local residents group and the local council it is still to be restricted to 92 days which the circuit owners said would not be viable for mallory to continue + they have got to re-schedule the racing programme for the whole year so the festival maybe moving dates anyway ? .

so in regards to mallory its watch this space .
Not looking good for Mallory Park.......

I agree rugby club venue is spot on apart from being in field opposite but nothing we can do about that now other than ask for a little more room, seeing as the Rally dates been moved a weekend later the joggers will have hopefully 'jogged on' the week before..?

the last time we went to ashbourne the club was charged around £1000 , they have invited us back but as stu says they want to run it as they feel fit and take majority of the money .

derby rugby club charges us £300 + they pay for the toilets .

I think they do very well over the bar and with food.
The club landlord is a decent bloke and very helpful, the rugby club is ideal but we could do with a bit more room.
One year it would be good to have the rally in a totally different location other than Derby, this is a big island.
Why is the rally always in this area?

Yes, that's the response I expected from two members who live in the Midlands.

maybe it should be put out to a vote rather than just assuming it convenient for everyone.
There is no reason why it could not be moved around the country.
