Yeah , that size of photo is a lot better , you could get away with attaching 2 or 3 to each post at that size.

Great work on the restoration, it’s always satisfying to see progress and a bike emerging from a loads of parts . All the best with the project.

I am going to clean up these bits from the rear wheel as best I can and replace anything that is knackered

I used a brass wire brush on a drill to clean those parts up then got them
Nickel plated . Worked a treat, I used these.

That lot in the photo was £80 to nickel plate.

I have bought some new parts for the swingarm. Yambits for new covers and a place in Germany for brass or bronze bushes as in the photo

The bits that go inside the bushes I have zinc plated myself as I bought a zinc plating kit a couple of years ago as there is no platers  close to me and its probably a bit cheaper than a professional

I would advise anyone fitting new bushes to make a homemade press to fit them, I bought a 12mm stud bar with 4 nuts and some large washers then fitted it through the swigarm and tightening it up slowly and it presses the bushes in.

The silencers, mudguards and headlight rim have gone to Castle Chrome to be re-chromed. When I paid for the crank at PJ I mentioned about the 10% discount but he said they haven't been doing that for about four years .

Crankcases look better than new , look forward to seeing the chrome work when you get it back , must cost a fortune now.

Invoice from pj and the chrome is quoted at 750 + VAT but that is what it is to get it right and I've still got the paintwork to get done, may have to get a second job  ???

Finally have had time to get the engine back together and fitted back in the frame. I resprayed the casings and cylinders in PJ1 satin black .
