so collected on a rainy day he was genuinely poorly and bike was dusty so payed up loaded and away as 2 hours back ...... 95% restored  >:( he said if you get it sparking you could finish it in a couple of hours ........ unloaded and put away for evening must look at sticking brakes tommorow ...... go out in the morning and brake fluid leaking from front has ruined paint on headlamp/brackets/master cylinder/caliper etc , so master cylinder leaking from cap seal, reservoir seal and fibre banjo washers, yes fibre wtf ohh hoses 1978 dated calipers actually siezed just resprayed including pads and so it began..... every rubber component/mounting rotten, fork stanchions more pits than the coal board, all paintwork was full of debris and black spots, engine when I managed to get it to run poorly it rattled and pumped air up the oil lines as crank seals blown ffs 95% rebuilt my arse.
Here is just a few parts it needed , full crank rebuild, rebore up 2 sizes to .50 , new piston kits, full engine seal kit, oil pump rebuild, clutch basket dampers , clutch plates , 2 x clutch pushrod bearings ( 1 missing ) , carbs rebuilt new jets/float needle valves/o-rings/gaskets , all fuel and oil lines , brake lines , both caliper pistons/seals/nipples/pads , both master cylinders fully rebuilt , rear shocks , nos fork stanchions and seals , full respray , chain and sprockets , every rubber bush/mounting replaced , most nuts/bolts/washers replaced as damaged/wrong or missing etc etc
now looks like this and runs excellent and done 250 miles running in so far but will be for sale shortly as I've nearly finished my tuned RD250 F

just about finished running in now as it has done 500 miles so took it and my tuned one to a local show last weekend before it goes up for sale once the tuned one has been on the dyno to finish set up.
