Yamaha YM2C 305 project

Hi all, I have got my new project delivered, it is a 1967 Yamaha YM2C 305 and not in too bad a condition. How many of you have seen or owned one of these, I can't find that much info on them apart from being a one year model for America only and only 6000 were produced. I have looked on the DVLA but it is not showing any registered here in the UK. If any of you out there have any information on this model please let me know. It is all complete and original apart from I need a complete air box as foam filters were fitted and this one I want original, 90% of the chrome will need re plating so if any of you could suggest a plating service close to Stafford that would also be of help. Thanks all for taking time to read this post and any info would be gratefully received.

Your best bet is searching on the USA sites.  A quick Google took me to eBay.com, where an listing shows the airbox rubbers are the same as the YDS5, so maybe the airbox is the same as well.

I just checked CMSNL and the airbox is the same part number, fits YDS5 1967 and YM2C 1967.

very nice and if that's the original colour it might be a bit of a mystery to what it was called.

I don't remember the details exactly but on another forum (Facebook?) ppl were talking about a particular blue used on the YDS3 but no-one knew the name.

I think this may be the same one
