Tap Talk login issue
« on: February 19, 2023, 09:58:58 AM »
Hi, I’m having a problem logging into the forum on Taptalk. It asks for my user name and password but comes back with the attached message.
I’m not having any problem logging in to the forum via my browser (Safari) or other forums on Tap Talk, just this one.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Kevin

I'm reading it and replying with TapaTalk right now. Seems fine.

Seems that the tapatalk server has given up. Still can not access the forum.

Still working for me on both phone and tablet. Sometimes this forum is a bit slower to update than others. I use TT to watch 9 or 10 forums. Some play better than others.

Thats a Tapatalk issue or the device you are viewing it on or your internet connection. As a Club we spend good money on a top end dedicated server and if you have a good internet connection and an up to date device you wont find a faster loading forum which is this size. It pains me to listen to complaints about our Forum speeds and load times when I know for a fact that so many Members are using antique devices and poor connections - not you personally !!

I actually received a PM from someone recently asking me why the Forum was so slow and after asking a few questions he was running Windows 95 on a 17 year old desktop with a 2mb adsl broadband connection ?  I rest my case.

I wasn't complaining about the forum, as it is grand. There are times however, that even with modern systems the crossing of the Atlantic to the US gets bogged down (I suspect security sweeping on this end).

I find that when using Taptalk my iPhone gets very hot at the top right hand side , which is down to high processor use (yes  I googled it ) , which will also use up battery life quicker. Maybe it’s my old iPhone being knackered? Have gone back to using the web page instead , it doesn’t happen with other similar type apps so maybe a Taptalk issue.

Tapatalk has not been working for me for a few weeks, so I've been using the Forum via the webpage, but miraculously it has sprung back into life today
