New(old) bikes in the house. Edit: And a lottery win 😊
« on: October 18, 2020, 11:29:24 AM »
Hi guys,
well. Things sometimes do not pop out as wanted.  ::) Instead of reducing my stable I just swapped bikes with 2 close friends. :D
With one friend I swapped my Cagiva-Suzuki DR400 SoS race bike against his Hejira PE250. Both are happy. Bike has a to disc valve induction modified PE250 Suzuki engine in it.

And with another friend I swapped my race RGV250 into a bike I owned before. It is a Egli copy framed bike with, instead of the the TZ engine in the pics, a TD3 engine in it.

Conclusion, now 3 happy guys with their madames not amused :P
Regards Uwe

Well,
had a bit of big luck end of January. I won a Honda RS250 NF5 production racer at a lottery in the UK.
The bike is at the Honda F1 headquarters in Milton Keynes at the moment, waiting to get lifted to Germany by a friend of mine.

I was and I am quite happy about this one. Would have never been able to own such a bike otherwise.

Congratulations Uwe, that is an impressive win.
Do you have room for an additional bike?

That one will be on display in my home office. Well, after I have make space for her.... :D
But I have solved much bigger problems in the past. 😂

It will look great in your home office, I’m not sure much work will be done as I’m sure it will catch your eye

Richard,
in my home office I do my organisation work for our Classic race series only. So race bikes are related to it. When installed and build up properly there will be room for at least 3 bikes. Have to decide which 2 other ones will get the benefit to be in the warm house......only downside is that my madame don't know of my plans....... 8) But as the office is in our first floor she will have no complains as bikes or parts are only forbidden in the second floor where we normally live😁.......

I am quite happy about this one. ;D ;D

Hi Uwe, hope you're well.
That's a cracking-looking bike!  What a win!  That must also be the understatement of the century:  "I am quite happy about this one"!

Hi Colin,
hope your family and you feeling well. All good here.
It is not an understatement, it's a Honda.... 😂. Only joking. I am really over the moon to have such a bike now. But that one is more a display bike. Absolut no spare parts available to keep it running at races. I will get on it myself for parades here and there.
Regards Uwe

Hey german. Your bike in the first picture of this post. What tyres are those? I had them on my road going RD350LC back in the day off my mates 250lc proddy racer. I can't remember what they were. Can they still be bought?
