A guide on how to read Yamaha part numbers


I came across this in one of the earlier parts manuals - it is a little more comprehensive than the explanation given at the start of the later manuals. Four pages are attached.

Many of you will be familiar with this info already, but it might help those who aren't.

Edit - It looks like Yamaha expanded the range of 00000-00000 numbers, to include ones starting 97 and 98.
