Think if you made an offer at half that Chris, Blackvisor might accept.....
The engine has no numbers apart from bore and stroke so cases even if they were TZ and now same as modified RD. It’s an AC TR engine not a wet TZ so obviously no water pump etc. Sum of the residual parts easy to add up....
Same goes for the frame , most likely is Spondon but real pity the Spondon index number has been replaced with TR/TD VIN.
As for wheels have a look at what yamaha TZ and Astralite wheel fetch in the market place..
No doubt the real race parts on this collection are much more valuable than RD equivalents but perhaps some more conservative pricing would avoid an expectation gap and associated disappointment...
Hi Betty, thanks, I just re read the detail, I agree it does say engine numbers removed and bore x stroke. Not at all unusual for a race engine, as we know. However, with the only evidence of the pics, it is impossible to know the details of the cases and engine internals other than it has a dry clutch and an early TZ cover so, it has a TZ gbox unless it has one of the RD/TZ dry clutch conversion shafts.
Blackvisor, I guess you can see the problems with these parts. Without the detailed knowledge you are not best placed to get a fair price for parts. You have got good info for the frame, swingarm, tank, wheels, forks, carbs, brakes as all are probably TZ. The cylinders look to me to be late RD and probably ported but, you need to know your stuff to be able to tell if they are valuable as race parts. As for the rest of the engine, it needs to come apart to check exactly what it is built from and condition, unless you just decide to sell as is. Also, the spares that you describe might be a goldmine!
I am happy to ID parts if you put pics up, including the engine guts. Cheers
