RD350B red battery box
« on: November 08, 2019, 11:52:26 AM »
My RD has a red battery box. I thought it looked out of place and assumed that the colour was non-original but there is another of the same colour listed on Ebay So what's the story behind the red battery box?

Like the rare red framed bikes had a coat of red paint i reckon
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”

Most of my RD350 had been covered in red oxide paint by the old guy I bought it off back in the day. Looked crap at the time but it had preserved the tinware perfectly, including, like yours, the battery box. Just remove it and spray black as it should be.
