Isle of Wight ride.15/09/2019
« on: July 01, 2019, 03:50:49 PM »
Thanks to Trudy, Woody and Jason.....

https://www.redfunnel.co.uk/public/bookings/view

Ferry cost this year is £35.20 return.

We will do the Isle of Wight run going from Southampton to East Cowes via Red Funnel ferries

We can catch the 09;00am ferry to get in East Cowes by 10;00 to meet Woody, Trudy and Jason.

The plan to meet at 08;15 at Rownhams services West Bound (East or West bound as we can cross the motorway via the subway) as last year then ride into Southampton centre to catch the ferry.

This is between Junctions 3 and 4 of the M27 you will need to meet Westbound side near the fuel station.

Found a old video from the Isle of Wight ride. I have no idea who the rider is...

OK I have it down to £18.15 with a 50% discount code, You will need to add your interest here for the special code as its suppose to be for staff of Acclaim Parcels Ltd, that's my mates company who do business on the Island and each code can only be used once. I have 10 codes available but I need 4 for myself and few mates (Including the owner of Acclaim parcels).
I will be dishing them out next week so the first six get a code.
Please add your interest here on a first come first served basis. I may be able to get some more if I ask nearer the time.

Route all sorted, we will be meeting in the layby at the crematorium roundabout on the Island, leaving there at 10.30, heading to the Duver at St. Helens for a coffee stop then off to the Wight Mouse for lunch, hope to get there for about 1pm. We will ride some lanes in the West Wight after lunch then back to the boat. There will be 1 petrol stop about 35 miles into the ride.  Let's hope the sun is shining for us🌞

Great stuff Trudy. Looking forward to it as I missed the last few  :(  Long range weather forecast has fair weather from 13th-17th down there if we can believe it  8) however I suppose the storm in Westminster may engulf the whole Country soon :D.
