RD 400 2 stroke oil leak

 Hello there,

 Problem with 2 St oil seeping out, seems about bottom of engine somewhere !

Any help appreciated.

Is it coming from the overflow pipe which terminates through a hole in the crankcase and on to the chain. The autolube tank doesnt like being too full

This might be too easy and a little bit daft, but is it from the overflow pipe?

Don't ask me why, but it appears that atmospheric pressure can cause the oil in the tank to enter the overflow pipe and eventually deposit it on the floor.

A mate has this problem with his RT2 and we have a soap dispenser that does the same thing!

I to had a slight drip on 350B , mine was on the two centre studs underneath the engine above the centre brace , I improved it by using a copper washer and dome nut, if yours is in the same place have a look with a torch although I'm sure you will have done this
