Hey everyone few will probably recognise my username from some of the RD LC forums.
29 now got a brace of 350lcs and 250lcs along with a Harris tz I'm slowly building :) one of the 250s I use constantly.

Looking forward to getting an air-cooled project just paid up for the air-cooled rd club so can't wait to nosey at the for sale section once I have access.

Both my dad an his bro had air-cooled rd 250s dad had a 77DX an a 76c.

Here's a bit of a story on dads air-cooled an a picture of it

Here's my dad posing on his Rd250dx 1977 after a hard day running Komori Sprints and a Solna 225 litho presses.

Unknown to dad in that window is my mum watching him in at her works a week before they met!! The rest as they say is history.

Update extra info - originally bought from Ace motorcycles on Deansgate then traded in at Paul Williams Motorcycles in Cholton in Manchester for a brand new RD350LC X reg in 1982 in mars bars like my 250lc

Welcome and great to see someone from your generation having an interest in the old bikes that stir such emotions in us older folk, as that means perhaps there is a future passion for these old smokers.

Good luck in your project hunt and buying from someone on here would definitely be the way to go if you can.

Hi Paul once I saw a picture in his sisters photo album with the reg once pretty much all the family was into bikes.

Dad ended up trading it in for a RD350LC in 82' which got nicked a month later then he got a GSX750ET actually got one of those a year or two back fun muscle bikes but I do prefer the strokers

Gonna try and find the picture if we can would be amazing to know if it was still about.

Yeah haha he wears Dianese leathers now as do I :) crazy to think of the gear back in the day.

That'd be pretty cool if you want a high res 300 ppi cmyk copy lemme Know Del :) Can put some extra info together stories wise from dad an maybe how the stories inspired me into two strokes :D that sorta thing if you think that would be good. Actually started to restore my first rd350lc at about 16 with dad.
