Tacho cable inner which way round?
« on: July 11, 2018, 09:38:47 PM »
Stripped all cables out on usa 350 refurb today and the guts fell out of the tacho cable, may sound stupid and probably is but which way round does it go? Brass end to clock or gearbox end? Also tiny shim washer, assume this sits under the brass bush? Thanks chaps.

Think the washer is the clue.  :)  It does go under the brass ferrule and that end goes at the top. The washer and ferrule stops the cable "sagging" down in the outer.  Cheers

Glad to hear.  :)  I have certainly had NEW cables BOTH ways but, I do think the ferule at the top, with the washer under the ferrule, is the correct way.  Cheers
