TD3 TR3 style seat hoop
« on: March 16, 2018, 12:02:51 AM »
hi folks.   I'm building an RD into a semi td3 replica..   has anyone got any good photo's of the  seat hoop and the area around the rear suspension mounts?  the RD has the heavy looking pressings, which are going!  I know they then have a tube hoop , but not sure of exact nature as I cant find any decent pics online.  ...  perhaps someone could take some of their bikes?

You can get a good general idea from the spare parts diagram, try TD3 on CMSNL or other online parts.  Basically, the hoop tube is partly cut away underneath where it sits ontop of the frame rails but, it is complete tube where it runs in the rear shock mount gussets and, out into the loop.  Overall, it is quite simple but, would be difficult to get right without a lot of work.  Also, the dimensions need to be right.  If you can do frame modifications, I get the feeling it might be best to look at the drawings then, make the Tank/seat/shocks fit as you build it?  Cheers
