If you have an import that does need an MoT, does it have to pass or just be submitted?
Electronic Test Engineer (Avionics), Age 60, Owned P50, PC50, SS50z, YAS1, YDS7, RD350B till 1978, then KH400 from 2009 onwards. Have a fully restored YAS1 on the road, and an AT3 import to MoT. And now a Suzuki T125 Stinger to get fired up.

No no. Not a trick question. I thought it has to have an MoT test to verify frame number and is a real motorbike suitable to be registered as a motorbike legally, and maybe confirm its taxation class.

Any MoT can have two outcomes, pass or fail.

But its still been tested.

( I am not going to go down this route, I am going to try the 'dont need an mot' scheme posted earlier)

If you have no title or original registration documents then I'd advise including a covering letter with your application. State why you don't have these and make reference to the dating certificate you have enclosed.  Also include any purchase receipt you may have from when you bought the bike. My recent French import had no title docs so this is what I did and it all went through fine.
