Went over to Anglesey today to sample breakfast made by the glamorous Marcys, well worth the 210 mile round trip.

Keith's getting to grips with his racing finishing 5th  and 7th? in his races today. Excellent results considering that its his first visit to Ty Croes and that the wind was howling and cold all day.

There were more experienced riders behind him than what beat him. 8)

He's cornering that quick that he's wearing out his knee sliders and has worn a large hole in the toe area of his boots. More expense mate.

It was an excellent day mate and it was good to meet up with you both again.

Have a good day tomorrow.

Dave.
Bikers check the weather in the morning to see if they're gonna ride. Motorcyclist only check the weather to see what were gonna wear.

If you wish you can read Lee Clare's South Coast Classic Racing race report for the 2015 3rd round of the CRMC at Anglesey

http://www.scc-racing.com/race-reports.html

I know he rides an X7 but he also rides a Harris YPVS350  :D :D

Can't wait to get my bike done and ready but it looks like next year will be my first race. Couple of questions, what tyres are you using, do you have a kickstart or do you just bump it and what air filter are you using?

Hi Alex,

I am running Avon AM22's you have to run period tyres as not allowed slicks of tyre warmers, I do have a kick start but normally use the rolling starter as race plugs hate starting when cold...!!! also not using any air filters, running 230 main jets with Mick Abbey pipes.

What size Avons please and which compound?  How do you describe riding with them?  You cannot use warmers so how are they when cold?  Cheers

The rear is 110-80-VB18 cant remember my front size off hand, I have ridden in the wet and dry on them and both felt confident, every one has to do a warm up lap and then its up to you how confident you are in your tyres and the track temp, ive no had any major scares yet...!!!!

Below is the same set of tyres in very different conditions  :) :) :) :)

OK, great!  Just looking at spending £300 odd on race tyres. :'(   I guess the "medium" compound is a fair bet in UK?
