I have updated the RD Database to include owners information e-mailed to me @ 18/11/08.

Hopefully we will end up with a list of live RD"s and make it easier for new members to search for information on their bikes.

This is the first 4 webpages ONLY from the site converted to a database. It also includes members who have e-mailed their bike registrations. It"s a continual work in progress.

Any RD owners who want there RD included, please forward your RD registration number and bike condition/comments to me. I will pull the balance of information from the DVLA database.

I don"t need anything more, just your registration number.

I"m not sure how to include overseas RD"s, but again forward your details. However, I have no access to you licencing system databases.

The database is sorted by registration number.

Let me know if there are any improvements.

Hi Foggie,

Only just seen this thread, well done, a great idea.

My mono project is a 250E frame reg XBL 181T, but will be registered as a 400e when it"s finished. It will be white/red. My old 400f is Q222 CGY, owned by my good friend Joe Reynolds, is also red/white, roadworthy, but I think is sorned at the mo.

Keith,

That would make you the first none UK bike listed!

Can you also supply a brief note on its condition - is it rideable?

Do you have an equivilant of our Driving Vehicle Licensing (DVLA) website where you can check VIN numbers?

Thanks

Gary

Just a thought - would it not be wise to seperate the list into "Bikes that are known to exist today"

and

"Nostalgic RD"s now sold and lost"

Its just that I see that I appear on the list twice..

KMW 445P was my bike but I sold it in 1976 (it was a RD250A back then)

I could add a fair few more RD"s to a list of "lost/nostalgic" bikes and expect a fair few others could as well

Reg numbers from old photos.....

KVA 82P (RD350 - mate from works photo)

RMR 844S (my long sold RD400)

UMW 761T (my RD200DX - sold earlier this year to a non member.)

RUL 211L (YR5 - Staffs show jumble)

NDY 479R (Staffs show jumble)

Just a quick point about SORN. I got the v5 in my name a couple of months ago, this was just for the frame, totally in bits, didn"t consider sorn until today. Did it online, warning came up about vehicle being unlicensed since feb 08, and that it would be investigated. Gave them a ring, got to write to them and prove it"s been in bits. So PLEASE check its on SORN or you will be liable for any back duty when you eventually come to tax it
