My worstest hour
« on: July 25, 2017, 09:51:30 AM »
For the hardcore people (indeed all concerned) on here an apology of the unreserved nature is given.
I think my restore at break neck speed cracked me ! (an excuse)

Carb balls and Fuel pipe diameter are things that most people would not concern about
but when you have spent the winter in a cramped garage bringing a wreck back to life (mechanically)
I met my limit......

but on the good front much to discuss imminently:

-Baffle and exhaust pipe cleaning
-Bike Smoking when not being ridden like a 17 year old would.

600 miles done so far since the restore and it is simply the best fun i have had.
What bikes these are !

Sorry guys anyway

The only change is new rear shocks from yambits.
( The chrome ones )
Pictures to follow at my alter ego project thread.

I was thinking about your bike (you sent me a pic)
It is almost all you need ?
Having got in tune with my RD again it is now my preferred
bike. Pure fun , it hates going slow , hates low revs ....
This new to me as I take it easy on my four strokes.

I'll start a thread on smoking bikes , but if I daudle about
on it say in a town the first time I thrash it smokes then clears.
Might adjust the oil pump a bit.

Have some compression stats too I'll post.

jools, we all fly off on a mad one from time to time. most people in this club are the best you will meet on any forum or in person. if members give you advice and you don't think it's correct talk to them, they are only trying to help a fellow club member. myself have owned an RD since my teenage years and with grey matter failing need the advice like wise.

i must add this that the club is not short off funds or members, so for the forum mod's to let you back in a big thank you to them.
