Well with the nos stator complete you know its all genuine  :)
Since I bought mine several years ago I've only seen about 3 come up and not cheap   :o

I probably bought one of the 3 as well, as my last 200 had a new stator

At least it gets rid of several possibilities in one hit ;) ;)

Update, my new stator finally arrived, fitted with genuine Yamaha coils as well, running great now, rev's up the range, no longer stops at 6000 rpm, sounds more crisp  8) 8) 8), still playing with the carbs, but almost there, mostly adjustments to air screws.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter how old the part is. If it's stopped at Customs you will be charged fees based on the value of the part (usually what the shipper put on label) and also on the cost of the shipping. I don't get that bit as the shipping isn't an object. That's already a fee you've incurred and you pay a percentage on that too  :-\

So finally I get the bike running somewhere near right after spending a small fortune, so today I thought I would go for a nice 40 mile bimble as the sun was shinning, got 5 miles in to the run and picked up a rear tyre puncher  :-[, got the missus to bring out a pump to get it home, had to stop about every mile to re inflate, nightmare. So gets about a mile from home and it wasn't having anymore air so had to push the rest of the way....first puncher I've have had in over 15 years  :-\...new tube tomorrow, and some green slime in both front & rear, don't want to be doing that again in a hurry  >:(
oh the culprit was a small very sharp shard of metal.. :-[

Slime/bike seal is a great insurance policy, but it does leave you open to a massive failure at some point if you don't keep a good eye out for debris in your tyres.

Says he with a punctured tubeless rear tyre on my V-strom - full of slime!!
Just keep riding.
