Title: Latest resto
Post by: Afterdarkmark on November 04, 2017, 05:17:50 PM
Sorry if this is blasphemy, but here's a photo of my latest project.

I guess I have a collection of sorts now.

Not blasphemy, but my
envy is definitely a sin
Just when I promised the wife no more bikes, irresponsible posts like yours make me want another......

Although I think I'm right in saying that the kh was slow  (earlier one's were quicker?) in comparison with the rd I've always loved the sound of them.  As kid's we used to see an early drumbraked 250 with a green and white bodykit and expansion chamber's come through the village every morning while waiting for the school bus. Thought it was mega until one day the guy stopped for a paper and we saw how rough it was close up.  My mate and I at that time used to be obsessive about cleaning our pushbikes even polishing  the spokes until they shone like chrome and couldn't understand why someone wouldn't feel the same about their motorcycle.  :o

Great set of pictures, great bikes.
What make are the expansion chambers on the kh400 i think the upswept style looks great.
Also same question for the yellow RD

To answer the earlier question: both the RD and the KH have Higgspeed pipes.

Here is a picture of my KH.

The old 2 strokes are a joy to ride and the smells are a great way of taking you back to the early days of riding.

Thanks GR400

My RD400 is great but the money I have spent on the KH has made me keep the RD in it's original condition, it is not perfect but I enjoy riding the Rd as much as the Kh.

Like most bikers I would like more bikes but the garage is not big enough. Keeping them in the house is ok for a short while whilst working on them in winter, but wifey does have her limits.
