I just need a photo of the bike and one of the VIN number, I can see your already a club member so don't worry about that.

Hi members, just to clarify as there was some debate on the forum a while ago: Do you definitely require insurance to apply for a logbook through the DVLA using the V55 form,  I understand that the MOT proof and dating certificate are required but is insurance definitely needed? It just poses a problem with me because of my age etc, when I may not want to insure the bike for a while, just want to get it registered...

Thanks,
RD17

You no longer need insurance but make sure you insure or SORN the bike as soon as you get the registration through.

Just had my registration application rejected on the grounds of not enough info regarding age and sources of info regarding the bike on the dating certificate.
Could Paul contact me about this please so I can find a way to get it registered, you did the certificate earlier this year for me.

Hi
I registered a 125dx last year it was simple ,I had no log book but Paul kindly provided me with a dating certificate based on my vin numbers , photos and known history of the bike.
I recently purchased a LC2 rd 350 that is an Austrian import ,it came with proof of Nova and the original Austrian Typenschien (log book)
The log book clearly stamped with date of registration and all owner changes ,so I sent it all in thinking this would be easy but the DVLA have rejected it saying I have not provided the original registration certificate?
Are they correct or do I need a dating certificate as well if so could Paul do this for me from the log book and vin number?
Thanks
