Genuine cables and labeling?
« on: April 21, 2013, 09:09:41 AM »

Just a quick question, does anybody know if all Yamaha racing cables had part numbers on them? I have just purchased a "new" Yamaha NOS brake cable for my TA and it has no part number on, so I am thinking that it may not be genuine however I am not completely sure as I doubt anybody has made replicas as there were not many of these bikes around  :-\

Cheers

Sorry, I am not certain if they were marked.  However, who did you buy from? In my experience DTR, RGR, Meady and Fondseca are reliable when they say it is Yamaha original.

not all genuine Yamaha cables had/have numbers on them.    the bag they come in is the best clue.   inspect the label with part number and you will soon tell if it isn't genuine.
