A rebore will be necessary for sure, the bore of the cylinder is in rough shape, I already ordered the next size up piston and rings. The RD never ran like I assumed it should, so maybe now I can figure out the cause. It ran ok, but never really felt strong, it never really had a "power curve", it felt rather flat, and it never wanted to power wheelie like you hear so many stories about, even in first gear. I'd like to find a stock airbox and cover so I could return it to stock, jet it according to stock, and go from there.
 I'll be pressure testing the cylinders before I start it this time, checking for air leaks. Hopefully it's not the crank seals, I've already replaced them just to be safe. I would assume with an air leak only the cylinder affected would show a lean condition, whereas both my spark plugs look lean? I suppose both could have an air leak.

Thanks for that Dave, begin to panic when spares disappear, will do as you did. yes saw those, very tempted but want to keep this one as original as possible. wonder what rebuild kits they use?
may change mind as my master cyl needs a resleeve, company up north does this in stainless but to be honest I could buy two complete new after market assembly's for the price.

I got a refund from Mr Kickstart so I thought I'd have a go...and I got it to fit!





Then had attempt #whatever on the piston rings. There are 4 to choose from but as I found out only 1 is the correct size. The seller of this pile of junk needs a damn good talking to.





So not only do I need the fins welded back on I now need a new ring and a base gasket too! Curses!

Great to hear!  Condensors do break down over time, so even a NOS one can be shorted.  You can do a quick check if you suspect condensors, just disconnect them! The trouble is that the points arc and spark alot like that so, it is just a test or, "get me outta here" fix because, the points won't last long!  :'(

Hello all
Finally making progress!
Improved the voltage to coils by going through the wiring but finally got her running on the left by changing the condenser for the third time.
Previous condenser was new out of the box and I only tried another because I couldnt think of anything else but I wanted to do something.
Anyway thanks to you all for help and time helping me in this matter.
I will post here again as a progress report

Do you have a source for OE coils, I haven't seen any for sale?

Brake hose bracket is black along with the caliper mounting bracket, torque arm is zinc I believe.
