I wonder what they mean by prime time slot and highlights.

Motorcycle racing in the UK has sadly become a minority sport.

The TT only gets a slot on backroom TV and only gets a mention on mainstream channels when a rider gets killed.

Remember the 50/60's when moto cross meets would attract thousands and was covered live on BBC Grandstand

Seems odd doesn't it.  The Formula 1 procession gets money thrown at it, and genuinely exciting MotoGP is a relative backwater.
It definitely WAS better in the old days.
Young kids today won't be reminiscing about derring-do 2-wheel escapades in the future. They will be able to look back and say, do you remember the good old days when we spent hour after hour looking at a 2 inch wide screen, texting bollox, watching videos of sleeping cats fall off sofas and music videos that bordered on soft porn....
