I went for the standard pre-set Curve 1
Its got 5 curves points

Curve point 1 500 rpm = 18.0 deg
Curve point 2 3000 rpm = 23.5 deg
Curve point 3 5000 rpm = 20.0 deg
Curve point 4  7000 rpm = 18.0 deg
Curve point 5 9000 rpm = 16.0 deg

Cheers Paul.  I suspect that the system can only retard the spark timing and therefore, the basic setting looks advanced as it allows earlier timing as desired in the rev range.  In that timing curve, the timing is advanced at points 2 and 3 compared to standard, I think. Thanks

Its a shame as you usually get a good few rounds in at the bar.
